Sorry, for some reason the product page has disappeared. This is one of the reasons we leave things in the 'EXTINCT' category, so you can compare sizing on older models!
I managed to find the chart in excel for the more recent batch of B01xRAWs, obviously, no way to know if this chart is accurate to the pair you are looking at I am afraid..

40 it is. I remember buying a used B01 in 36 and I couldn't pull it up. A sanforized 21 oz might fit, but as this denim is raw, I take the 40.
And if it´s too large there´s still the possibility for a hot wash.
Too small is just too small.

Because we have 5 core cuts that do most things for most people, if we introduce a new cut it will have to be significantly different for any of the existing 5

Busters top-block and thigh are way snugger than an 888. I could never fit em, personally.

I could go for the top block being a tad snugger, really just the rise that I appreciate here. I used to be a dedicated 666 guy but then discovered the glory of jeans that sit on my waist vs thighs and… actually being able to comfortably lift my legs
