IH-777-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Tapered Jeans - Indigo

@Jett129 Thanks for the advise, but it in my instance it wasn't just the buttons. I had underestimated the unforgiving nature of the fabric so much so that I believed the jeans were too small.
I don't carry much in the way of body fat and I typically range between 12 - 18% body fat. I'm currently on the softer side so I'm more or less on the higher end of that spectrum (I like the way I look at about 15%) but going off measurements alone the jeans should and do fit. I had just got it in my mind that they were too small due to my struggle with the getting them buttoned.
Once that hurdle was breached it was all fine, even after the shrinkage of the hot soak. Go figure...
To put into perspective, with the first button buttoned and it will remain that way (I hate that button), I can currently slide my hand and forearm about halfway down my thigh with the jeans on. That's how much room is available 3 wears after the soak.
If I get myself down to 12% body fat I'd have to get a smaller size if Iron Heart made them.

I've read and heard that this denim is tough and requires a real commitment to break-in. today I received it and tried to put it on. dudes! this took me a good 10 mins just to button it.
I ordered size 40, at a first glance it's a bit roomy, not snug as I wish, maybe a size 38 will fit me better.
my favorate Empario Armani denim size 40 and its dims are:

## My question is: as it a bit roomy and bigger than I want, if I soak it for a couple of hours and give it a warm wash, does it shrink a bit and fit me better?

OK, so I decided to put this monster in action and wear it day and night straight, as long as possible.
I took some measurements, and here's how it looks:
I soaked it in 30-degree water and kept it for 15 mins only, as I was in a hurry. dip-dried it.
I'll keep posting from time to time some fade evolution. But here's how it looks before the soak:

Now, I'll continue to wear them for some time, and then I may give them a proper - by book - soak to soften them a bit, guys those ones are reallly tough!
Can't wait to receive the 25oz Indigo/Black ! -
These 777's are super comfortable feel like there starting to break good

@FezzaZA Great write up! When I get a fresh pair of heavyweight, I actually button them once and just forget about ever unbuttoning them for the foreseeable future... I just sort of wiggle my way out of them using the fabric/pockets (not sure how good this advice is, I've heard you shouldn't do this with belt loops)
I just can't imagine having to unbutton 25oz every night... that would put me off them too!
Give us an update with how you're getting on with them, 25oz fabric is the best!

Buttoning and unbuttoning XHS is difficult the first couple of times. After that it’s like any other denim.
