OK, so I decided to put this monster in action and wear it day and night straight, as long as possible.
I took some measurements, and here's how it looks:
I soaked it in 30-degree water and kept it for 15 mins only, as I was in a hurry. dip-dried it.
I'll keep posting from time to time some fade evolution. But here's how it looks before the soak:
Now, I'll continue to wear them for some time, and then I may give them a proper - by book - soak to soften them a bit, guys those ones are reallly tough!
Can't wait to receive the 25oz Indigo/Black ! -
These 777's are super comfortable feel like there starting to break good

@FezzaZA Great write up! When I get a fresh pair of heavyweight, I actually button them once and just forget about ever unbuttoning them for the foreseeable future... I just sort of wiggle my way out of them using the fabric/pockets (not sure how good this advice is, I've heard you shouldn't do this with belt loops)
I just can't imagine having to unbutton 25oz every night... that would put me off them too!
Give us an update with how you're getting on with them, 25oz fabric is the best!

Buttoning and unbuttoning XHS is difficult the first couple of times. After that it’s like any other denim.

I've been wearing the 666xhsib pretty much daily since they arrived a couple months back. I like the 777 so much more though. This was today's fit with the fw moleskin and 526lod

@simonr100 I believe that the restocks of XHS will be a while. The best thing you can do is to follow this thread for updates and to sign up for notifications on the product page of the size you are interested in:

@simonr100 self Edge has several sizes in stock still
. The 555XHS was recently restocked in Japan so I'd guess those could be soon. Those are slim also, my 2 favorite cuts. -

@simonr100 We do not have a restock date set for these yet I'm afraid. Hopefully it won't be too long though.

Wanted to compare worn and new. On me are the 777 and the other are 555-XHS I got a few weeks back. Still waiting for a warm up for a soak and wear dry opportunity. This community helped me deal with what I saw as disaster for the 777 and I listened and kept wearing. Now they may be my favorites.

@CosmoSix5 sometimes you just don't notice how far you have come unless you compare them to a new pair. happened with my 666xhs i sent in for hemming as well!
