If there's one thing I don't miss about Denver it's United. They've gotten progressively worse to where they're about on-par with Frontier for me and I won't fly on them unless there are no other options. Really sorry about the headache getting home/out of San Diego.

Thanks man. I was a Southwest guy but shifted for international flights. Those are kind of the only options here for flexibility if you prefer direct flights.

Both have shit the bed prodigiously of late.

I really miss Northwest when I lived in Minneapolis and wish Delta were viable in Denver.

Yup. I feel your pain. Hope this gets sorted fast and you can get out successfully.
I suppose if it's still terrible out of SD, maybe your agent can get you a car to drive to LAX where there could be more options?
Had to do that once myself a long time ago to get back to Denver.

The far flung geography and limited public transit of SoCal are not ideal. I was checking airports all the way to LAX with no luck. I am so grateful to have been at the top of the standby list. What a shit show!

Just laughing at the fact that this thread has 11,857 posts! Nothing quite unites people of the world like a good old rant! Being a middle aged man I'm getting increasingly partial to a good old rant myself! My wife often refers to me as Victor Meldrew. If it weren‘t for bad luck… Plans for the party in 4 weeks out of the window, everything thrown under the bus. Father in law in hospital with a stroke, and I just drove my mum to the clinic, she‘s going under the knife for back surgery first thing tomorrow morning. Still struggling with my father‘s passing 8 months ago - it‘s quite a lot that‘s currently thrown my way.
