Watches - another OCD problem
-
I can’t imagine an AD would sit on stock and not sell inventory? I’m not a grey market guy either unless it’s a discount from retail. I bought a Sub 25 years ago. Walked into the AD and wore the watch out of the store. No games. I did go back to the same AD a few months ago and got on the list for a gmt. No interest in buying another watch, but wanted to see if I ever get the option to buy.

@Sage954 apparently it’s a thing though.

Couldn’t make it past about five minutes of that vid @Aussie-Ben . Seems there’s other reasons that world isn’t for me besides not having money

Quite excited to be collecting this today, though then have the lengthy wait until Feb 28 to wear it on my wedding day -
@LewisStonehouse Congratulations on both fronts! Enjoy the watch and your upcoming nuptials.

There it is. Big fan of that Calatrava @Giles, would also be my first choice if I was going for a Patek
-
@LewisStonehouse Perfect! And the Montblanc as well

@Giles 206.032

@LewisStonehouse ...just so you know, that Lange's are notorious for service work if not worn every day. You will need to wear it daily to ensure that it stays perfectly lubricated...
...or you can try telling your better half that and see how it goes. Congratulations once again. Beautiful watch

I thought that is was @LewisStonehouse , just wanted to double check. It's a beaut....
-
@goosehd cheers Dennis
it’s fresh back from a full movement restoration, new strap, dial, hands and crystal and a polish. I’ll keep it wound even if I don’t wear it every day (that’s what the sub is for) -
I should say, they provided the service papers with it, that work came to a cool £7,100
-
@LewisStonehouse ...please realize that I was joking about you not being able to wear it until your wedding day and that I was giving you an excuse to wear it more frequently up to that date

-
@goosehd Mum’s the word!
-
@Giles your endorsement has increased the value significantly. Ta
