When I was in Thailand 95’, we wanted to come close to the so called triangle. Have beautiful memories hiking the hills around Mae Fa Luang.
Looks like the area has shaped into a beautiful ecotourism landscape (like Doitung) nowadays. Enjoy your upcoming trips.

@endo you may well catch the burning season at end of Feb, but when it starts isn't an exact science...

It's manageable in Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai, but you really don't wanna be in Pai or around the Mae Hong Son area when it's going in. I have friends that live there year round and it looks truly awful

Kira and I had a week in Wales to celebrate my 35th Birthday and our 5 year Wedding Anniversary. We were in Brecon for the first few days in a small cabin, then heading down to Pembrokeshire (nearest town Fishguard) for some time on the coast.

I’ve been kickin’ around Kathmandu for the past few days acclimating and taking in the sights. I was originally thinking of doing the Manaslu circuit, but have decided to do the Everest Base Camp trek. It’s my 5th time here and figured it’s time I should check out that region. I’ve avoided it in the past due to the popularity, but this time of year should be quieter. The weather forecast looks good and hoping it sticks. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some good pictures and share them with y’all. In the meantime …
