IH-745-ODG - 4oz Cotton/Nylon Baker Pants - Olive Drab Green
-
@dlrarmy to my understanding, in the wider clothing world they are pretty much the same thing. Baker pants are a nickname for OG-107 fatigues, and when most people say fatigues they mean OG-107s.
-
“Technically speaking, fatigues are just a broad term that includes baker pants. Although some people would argue a baker pant is specifically a closer reproduction of the original OG-107 utility pant, whereas “fatigues” has become more of a general catch-all term over time.”

bakers are fatigues w front Pockets the shape of loaf of bread

Something is happening. I got a notification from this post. I‘m so excited for these

-
@don_pipone I hoped I would have some more time between the flannel today and these

With the 747’s dropping this week, surely these can’t be far behind … we’re cutting it pretty close for our trip. May have to get you to ship to a hotel in Italy

-
@Brandrea that‘s exactly what I was thinking - except the Italy part

-
Would someone help in explaining (apart from weight) the difference behind a multitude of similar baker pants dropping please?! Trying to get my head around which one to get
-
@Gavin666 does this help: https://forum.ironheart.co.uk//post/945584
-
@Gavin666 also there is this page showing each of the upcoming pants for release: https://ironheart.co.uk/collections/spring-summer-2026-collection
It’s hard for us to tell you what to buy when we don’t know what you like. What specifically are you looking for in a pant? Pattern, colour, fit…
-
@goosehd 10z sateen, 8oz ripstop or 4oz cotton/nylon. All look nearly the same. Really what’s the difference between the fabrics?
-
@Tago-Mago thanks. Any idea what difference is in plain and ripstop weave? Is the plain more breathable? I wonder if the 10oz sateen being cotton is more breathable and summer orientated than the 4oz mix?
-
@Gavin666 ripstop has a crosshatch pattern that makes it more durable.
Fabric weight or composition alone are not suitable indicators for breathability. In this instance since I haven't handled or worn the individual trousers and fabrics anything I say would be speculation I'm afraid

Should be perfect for Italy in July
. Hoping the measurements work out on these ones. -
I’m totally spitballing here but I’d have to think that regardless of the fabric/weave, 4oz would have to feel more “airy and breathable” than something more than double its weight.
Here’s hoping

-
@Brandrea if it's not 4oz, it's NO'oz
