I liked that when you opened a product and brought up the first picture you could use the arrows of the keyboard to go to next/previous
Me too - there is a fix for this being deployed next week, we just didnt think it was critical enough to delay launch for.
and Bug Report Here Please!](/post/883533):
I noticed that in the "New in" section, only 20 products are displayed; not sure if intentional, but I think it was cooler to be able to browse all latest.
Yeah - I guess then you can get into the philosophical discussion of what actually is new. The 20th product in the category is nearly a month old already..
-
@Alex Ah yeah ! Cool that the picture browsing feature will be back
off course I agree not worth a launch delay
-
One more thing....sorry.
If I recall, on the old site, when you searched in the main search box on the front page, it wouldn't bring up anything in the outlet. I think that was a deliberate choice to keep the outlet as a separate entity and kinda protect new releases? Or something like that.On the new site, searching on the standard front page DOES bring up outlet results.
i.e Search "UHF" (for example) on front page and you'll get them all. New releases and UHF's in the outlet.I could be wrong here as I can see the logic either way, but just thought I'd mention it in case it wasn't meant to do that.

@Alex Previously, the product pages indicated if it was a seasonal release or in continuous production? Are you planning to add this information to the current product page?
-
How long until SoSo copies the new look

Terms that classify if the product is going to be core or not such as: "Continuous Production", "Seasonal Release" will be implemented in the near future when we work out the best way to display the information

@Tago-Mago I thought there were also 12oz hickory cargos to be forthcoming in addition to the 10.5oz narrow hickory. I had them on my 2025 IH budget list and I thought I remembered seeing them listed in the Future Release section. Not sure how I would have had this on my list otherwise. But maybe I picked it up from somewhere else on the forum.
-
@John-Galt you probably did. these ones? https://forum.ironheart.co.uk/topic/16431/ih-733-ind-12oz-hickory-stripe-cargos-indigo/2?_=1744925221814

@sabergirl some additional info from Alex: account reactivation

In the Outlet (EDIT - All GAH rings?) the GAH ring sizes do not seem to come up when clicking the ‘plus’ icon, as they do with other products. There also seems to be one of each size left for each of the rings shown, which is entirely plausible, but though I would flag in case this was an error.

FWIW, I also used the wishlist feature.

I didn't check to see if this was reported in the thread already, but whenever a page is loading, the tab briefly displays a "404 - Not Found" when loading forum pages in Firefox.
Steps to reproduce:
- load any product page on the site
- from the product page, click "discuss on forum"
- note that the tab for the forum page briefly displays "404 - not found" before ultimately loading just fine
note: does not happen when going from the Forum to the Iron Heart site

Not sure if mentioned but copyright date in the site footer is 2024. Should be changed to a $variable . Nice improvement all around!
-
@Alex stacking still doesn’t seem to be an option if you meet the minimum requirement for free shipping.
-
It all looks great IH crew.

Pardon if this has already been mentioned, but the old product pages used to have a toggle for alternate colors of the same item AND links to the alternate cut in something if it was something like a Western uhf page that had a work version. This was super helpful for me and made browsing quick. Would be nice if it came back.
Also, I see two ways to get to reloved but I thought before it was available directly from the root of the navigation tree just like the outlet. Maybe not important now that I know where it's moved to but not sure if it was a deliberate change or not.
Great work on this site. Really like it. H
