@Jett129 the perfect balance of bittersweet, you should try a boulevardier some time which is quite similar but uses bourbon rather than gin as the base spirit- more Manhattan esque.

@SourPower @Jett129 or use mezcal instead of gin. I may have mentioned this at some point already 🤔

@Tago-Mago love a Negroni Bianco. Had a bartender in Osaka make me a fantastic Paloma/Negroni riff with grapefruit, Lillet, Suze, pechuga, and mezcal!

@Jett129 I’m fairly new to Negronis too and I love em, but after trying many variations I definitely prefer the OG with gin. I’ll stick to varying the vermouth and gin. I love mezcal but my tastebuds don’t like that combo.

@Tago-Mago What are your ideal percentages 33/33/33 or a variation? I'm finding I like a little less Vermouth and a bit more Gin/Bitters.

@goosehd we tend to stick to the 1:1:1 ratio, irrespective of which gin/bitters/vermouth we use

@Mizmazzle I love Whistle Pig. Is that a special store pick,as the proof is a little bit higher. I had met one of the original owners/founders at Whiskeyfest when it first came out,and it was their hope that it would do for rye what Makers did for bourbon. Had to look this up but I thought there was some connection to Makers, and it was that Dave Pickerell who was the Master Distiller at Makers advised them after he had left Makers.

@Jett129 I don’t think it’s a special shop type edition or anything. It’s got a nice bit of bite due to the high proof…which I really enjoy.
