Was at the farm last weekend for an annual get together with some college friends and thought it would be a good time to dip my toe into some fine Irish Whiskey inspired by @Mizmazzle and his trip overseas. My first experience outside of Jameson and man was this stuff tasty. Thanks for the recommendation Mark! I’ve also conferred with @Jett129 about a bottle of Green Spot I might try next time

@SKT That’s entry level, their Cask Strenght is next. Just a richer tasting version of what you’ve got in your hand.

@SKT oh nice bro. Glad you liked it. Such an incredible pour. I found a bottle of the PX at an LQ near my house for a great price. Haven’t pulled the trigger though.

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

@Jett129 the cask strength is quite special. The PX and the cask are two bottles I’d love to keep in the cabinet at all times.

@Jett129 the perfect balance of bittersweet, you should try a boulevardier some time which is quite similar but uses bourbon rather than gin as the base spirit- more Manhattan esque.

@SourPower @Jett129 or use mezcal instead of gin. I may have mentioned this at some point already 🤔

@Jett129 I’m fairly new to Negronis too and I love em, but after trying many variations I definitely prefer the OG with gin. I’ll stick to varying the vermouth and gin. I love mezcal but my tastebuds don’t like that combo.
