Not very much, max up to 2 cm.

they are a little to wide for my taste , but I think I’ll buy them anyway . Could be great for my work and the fade potential really thrills me .
sure that it streches that much ? always thought that it fades just a little bit, if at all .

@Alex what do you think how much strech can we expect from the 21oz serge ?

It's a twill, it'll stretch 2-3cms. One of the reasons that denim (which is a twill) and twills in general have been historically used in jeans/workwear, is that they strech and mold...

Basically it is impossible for a twill weave not to stretch....

A plain weave (chambray and duck) will hardly stretch at all, in comparison to a twill weave...

Re: stretch, I had the 555s that were made out of this same fabric (am I correct there, @Giles ?) and I do recall getting a fairly normal bit of stretch out of them. They were very comfortable in the top block; the only reason I sold them was because I just like wider leg fits.

I love that fabric, really such killer fade potential. I didn't take mine too far, but I remember the ones Sam had in some of the various product pics and they were up there with some of the best I'd ever seen.
