IH-684S-16-GER - Iron Heart Germany 16oz Selvedge Denim Relaxed Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

As already discussed here in the forum, Iron Heart is expanding its jeans range with another cut. IH International had been toying with the idea of a new, wider cut for some time. We, too, had long desired our own Iron Heart Germany jeans. In the winter of 2024, we discussed this with Haraki-San and Alex. The idea was to have our own jeans in a wider, straighter fit, made from an exclusive denim. Haraki-San liked the idea, and Maria and I started brainstorming a suitable product name and design for a patch, etc.

In this new thread, I'd like to share more about the development of the jeans, the patch design, and the denim itself. I'll start with the cut.

Relaxed Straight Cut - 684
I've always worn wider, straight-leg jeans, never tapered or skinny jeans. I simply feel more comfortable when my jeans are looser. So, it was clear: the new cut had to be looser. The current "trend" doesn't play a role here, but it certainly works in our favor. Maria also wanted a kind of "boy cut" jeans that women could wear loosely on their hips. And since Iron Heart International has the same idea, we will first receive these jeans exclusively, but at the same time, the new cut will be incorporated into the Iron Heart collection after the jeans are released.

684 Patch - TIGER - Built for ETERNITY
We wanted to continue the tradition of patch designs featuring animals (888 Octopus, 555 Snake, Duck), and Maria had the idea that a Japanese tiger would go well with these new jeans. She has a tiger tattoo on her thigh, which looks pretty good by the way. The Japanese tiger (Tora) symbolizes bravery, strength, and protection, and is revered in Japanese culture as a protector against evil, illness, and misfortune. It also represents autumn and the winds and is associated with courage and idealistic leadership—everything we see in the Iron Heart brand. Maria also wanted a number with even numbers (odd is absolutely out of the question for her), and I felt the number absolutely had to start with 6, since the new jeans are based on the 634 but are wider. Haraki-San like it and so, the 684 was born.

Our loyal customer and good friend Carsten from Hamburg designed the patch. @Buckmutter Carsten is a graphic designer by profession and runs a successful graphic design studio in Hamburg with his wife, Eva. He really wanted to be involved in the project because he's a huge Iron Heart fan. @Steve drew the tiger, which turned out really cool. Thanks again to both of you for the great work!
Oh, and we wanted the patch to be made of the 14 oz leather patch with a red print, traditionally adapted to Levi's vintage 501 jeans patches. I hope you like the patch design too?

As promised, here is my report on my tour through Sweden with the ‘Mad Red Motherf**ker’ jacket.
Last week I rode on a motorcycle from Hamburg to Sweden with my buddy Carsten/@Buckmutter. Carsten has been the happy owner of a great Swedish house in the middle of the wilderness for a long time. As I'm a big Sweden fan and go on a trip to Sweden almost every year, this time with Carsten, two Harleys, a new pair of jeans and the killer red leather jacket. It all worked out very well.
The weather was perfect on the outward journey and after a short stop at the Hepcat store in Lund, we arrived at his house in the evening.
The next three days in short: 1200km on the Harley, rain, sun, sea and bridges, swimming in the lake, sauna with beer, great food, lots of conversations about God and the world and of course jeans, wine, even more beer, chilling out, barbecue, 2 ticks and to top off a fantastic trip to Sweden, we met a moose in the forest (without the red jacket, otherwise it would have been scared and gone quickly
Fazit: Carsten was a great host and companion, Sweden was great as always and the red Killer was a great partner on the bike.

On Saturday, we had a lovely Christmas dinner with our Hamburg team. Thanks for the great work, everyone!

Thanks mate, maybe you're right, but I like a change of scenery and the North Sea isn't really far from Hamburg.

We're currently deciding on a location for the photoshoot and video for the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection. I really liked the last Iron Heart catalog featuring the Defender and the nature shots. I had the idea of taking the guys and the collection to the North Sea coast. It would be a nice change of pace from always shooting in Hamburg. Of course, it would be more complicated, and we'd be dependent on the weather, but I think we should do it.
