Illustrations/Fine Art

@Oaktavia took my vision of getting a pair of denim printed and did an amazing job executing it. Just for context, for those that don’t know I was born & raised in Hawaii, still live on Oahu. There’s a lot of Japanese influence from food, language (words/phrases we use in pidgin), etc . Gyotaku is something fisherman/locals still do most likely do it for fun to record their catch. I have a few acquaintances/co workers who fish on the weekends and “might” print something. This piqued my curiosity to see if it would work with denim. Hence, asking Stevie if he’d print one of my retired denims. Came out excellent and the proof is in the pics (above).

Cool, I'd never heard of Gyotaku before.

Student illustration of me. Sure they should have been focused on our phonics lesson…but at least they were focused “on” me!

@Mizmazzle With keen eye for detail. Even the Shazam is there.

[Mizmazzle]

@endo @Aetas yeah. I thought it was pretty damn good too. The details were very on point.

Edit: realized I wasn’t doing the illustration justice with my first selfie.
