@will6er I have a size medium pair (W30)(i think they ran larger than W30 actually, from the previous run...) and I'm around a W33 in jeans...

edit: the waist is good, you should just double check the thigh measurements/rise to be safe IMO

@ShopatIronHeart not sure what size my purple were as the sizing has faded off but are these measured with the waistband loose, not pulled tight?

@ShopatIronHeart is the thigh measurement to the index finger or the middle (which is where it goes when they are laid flat) please?

@Alex yes but when laid flat it goes to the middle finger and the measurements don’t compare to the size chart. When I measure from the seam it does compare including the waist. This is on my pair from the last run. Sorry photo didn’t load

I see what you mean here!

The thigh is measured from just below the seam from where the fabric starts. It's best to make sure the thigh you are measuring is completely flat.

It helps to pull the other leg up slightly so you can get full access to the flat side but this isn't vital to get an accurate measurement.

I've added a photo to illustrate the best position to measure the shorts and hope this helps!

@Gavin666 Once that's pulled taught (measuring tape) 12.5 approx - looks to be pretty on size I think so would be similar to what we've measured as a size Medium

@Alex no shrinkage ;-). tight tape measure and they are 12.9”. Have a bit of room in thigh to spare so these should be bang on. Shame they weren’t here a week early!

IH-729-OLV in XL:

Double front duck shorts in size 38:

I suppose because the waist does stretch I could pull these off in XL? I wear 38 in both the duck and denim double fronts with a belt.

@Northman I doubt you can get 4" of stretch out of these. this run comes in significantly smaller than the previous one. I compared with the old measurements over in the purple thread.

@tody Okay thanks. If the stockist list is up to date I might be able to try them on before buying so will probably do that. The other measurements look fine but not worth the risk ordering I guess. My waist could squeeze into 36s in the denim double fronts but sitting down they were too tight. I wear 38-40 usually in jeans, but It is mainly to do with the fact that I have thicc thighs and glutes from lifting.
