maybe it’s a stupid question, but how do I find out what size I need ?
will there be pre/post washing measurement charts ?

I'm very curious about the same thing. Basically interested in how much shrink I can expect, and how much they stretch back to or past tag size.

From what I gather in the thread, seems like a hot soak only gets about 1/2", which is what I'd be doing since my washing machine is such a piece of shit. IIRC someone did a hot machine wash and was closer to 1".

Also am I right in understanding that these are a bit less breathable than XHS, but also softer from the get-go? Seems like because of the latter, they might have a little more stretch? All speculation on my part of course…

Ha!  No, not a stupid question.

The crew will have a size chart with these like they do with any garment.  But because of the raw-ness, they usually do a test soak/wash in Gosport and tell you how much shrink they got, too.  You then do your best to size for your  needs based on their shrinkage.

But they can't tell you any of that until they get their hands on a pair, which I'm not sure they're in possession of just yet.  Maybe just an early sample.

Yeah I mean, usually there's some pre/post soak info for sure, but also a lot of info comes out in these threads. Definitely not expecting IH to just throw us some pairs and let us figure it out

Just curious if any of you had ever worn the Shrink to Fit Levis 501s?,because this is ice cream compared to those… Back in Prehistoric times. They gave you some basic guidelines, but after that you were on your own.

So now I am having total FOMO.  Bought a pair of XHS (which I am loving already!!!) but y’all keep preaching the specialness of this UHR fabric. So of course my left eye is starting to twitch and I’m having flashbacks of never asking Melissa Lane out in 4th grade.

If I pass on this run of UHR, how long until it comes back through? Every few years or so??

It really depends how this run sells…...I killed it off a few years ago, I have no idea why.  Then had the "brilliant" idea of doing it again about a year ago, I see no reason why we won't rerun.....
