@jdwaid I did soak mine and throw it in the dryer which resulted in a much better fit overall.

I soaked my hat and it fits and looks much better.

I don’t think this one’s gonna need a hot soak and dry. maybe a luke warm soak. I really like this fabric doesn’t really feel waxy, but feels like it’s something in there not quite like the Guthries.

@northsouthdenimguy so my friend got his and did a hot wash and it shrunk considerably. I’m getting my hands on mine later today and going to likely do the same but seems like the dryer might not be necessary based on his results

I need to press it, but I feel like it tightened it up a bit. This was only a warm soak and hang/fan dry. I bet you could get a bunch of shrink out of it. I don’t want the arm length to shrink, so I will only cold wash and hang dry in the future.
I really like this fabric. It’s like a heavy fatigue cloth. IMO

@northsouthdenimguy I just got home to open mine and it’s awesome, but one of the snaps came clean off… happened in my first sashiko also and they sorted it out but I’m still a little salty I’ll now have to wait to wear it, but it is a very nice material
