@Northman These will fit much different than the sashiko hats. The sashiko ones are funky to start but break in really nice after some wear. These aren’t going to really change shape, but you can adjust the bill if you’d like.

@Danimal506 Yeah ok bending the bill yeah I might do that. Poten, dehen etc are usually way too small for my head. Stetson works well. No experience with SJ.

Maybe the sashiko can fit you well because it starts so big? Hopefully. I’ll be putting a WTB thread out shortly for a black sashiko hat. I love the way my indigo one fits. I’m generally a 7 3/8 in a new era fitted hat.
One thing I like about the bill is that it holds its rigidity after getting wet. I hand wash my hats like once a year and the bill is still sturdy.

Folks who got soaked your ori hat, how did it turn out? Did it affect the shape of the crown?

@jdwaid I did soak mine and throw it in the dryer which resulted in a much better fit overall.

@Darth-fader man I wish, still not quite there where I am, but I am ready to start wearing mine again. I wish it was a size down, but itll be a solid layer for when it gets much cooler out

I soaked my hat and it fits and looks much better.

I don’t think this one’s gonna need a hot soak and dry. maybe a luke warm soak. I really like this fabric doesn’t really feel waxy, but feels like it’s something in there not quite like the Guthries.

lol super interested with how the soaking goes and if it effects the sizing much at all. My large gets in Monday and I can’t wait
