IHSH-409-IB - 19oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo/Black
-
@Rustygate37 Why wouldn’t you just send it back if you’re not going to wear it in public? New PJs???
-
@dirtyframer that’s how you do it!
-
Finally mine. Looks good with the 634 duck!

-
@WithBongInHand I’ve done it once before and found it to be a pain in the arse.
Lining up in the post office for an hour filling out paper work isn’t exactly my idea of fun, plus I’ll incur another cost.
I’ll just sit on it, maybe I’ll gift it to a non trade/craftsman that isn’t bothered by such misalignments and is grateful for what is essentially a fantastic shirt, maybe it will become my new firewood chopping shirt instead of my 427 CPO that really is in my opinion is way too nice to be being treated as such.
I might even remove the wonky pocket and go with just the one, might see if it a tailor can realign it or it might just sit in the wardrobe for the next 4 years gathering dust.
Or maybe none of those.
Dunno, just disappointed is all.Nice name by the way
-
@Rustygate37 would love to see it on you before you relegate it to the back of your closet!
-
@kojimastreets same! Probably looks great @Rustygate37!
-
@kojimastreets Looks great man! I’m currently on a plane flying home to try mine on.

It’s been a looong week waiting for this moment. I wonder if my pockets are f’d up lol.
-
@Rustygate37 I hear you. I hope you end up doing something with it!
-
@kojimastreets it doesn’t matter what others think it looks like on me.
It’s the comfort I get from how I think and feel when I wear what I wear.
You might think what I wear looks great or shit but my personal perception is where I find my comfort.
Comfort isn’t always just how it physically fits
Even a quick google or even an AI search would class 20mm for a chest pocket placement as too far out.
But I’m definitely anticipating an all in attack for voicing my differing opinion though. -
@Rustygate37 I can see your point, but the previous run had the same thing, and so did the product picture. I would just chalk it up to experience and maybe use the forum more about learning about products so you can gauge what to expect...
-
@Rustygate37 nah you’re gonna get nothing from support here amigo, whatever you decide. You do you and wear whatever makes you comfortable!
️ -
@Jord didn’t know about the issues from a previous run mate,I was late to the party on that one. Saw the product picture on this run but also saw the picture for purple drama or whatever it was called and that didn’t substantiate into what the original picture was either.
I hear the term off to QA and think things like that would be sorted and an initial sample photo is just that, a sample photo.
It’s not the end of the world, I’ll live and I can still be a fan of the brand, I still own and wear many of their pieces and it won’t slow me down. This one just didn’t hit home for me. I’m only elaborating as to keep a response to this who tag me.
Surely many of us who are willing to put this kind of cash down for clothing clearly have higher standards than the average Joe and having some kind of addictive personality at the least.
That comes with quirkisms and other personality traits too. I am who I am unfortunately -

A lot of IH shirts are like this. I'm not sure its an error.
-
@kojimastreets looks great!

I received mine begin of the week and must say I also noticed the pocket thing while looking in the mirror, and I'm not normally good with details.
I ordered another one from another retailer to compare but the placement is the same.I agree with others that everyone is free to send the products back (and I'm sure they'll sell again in no time) , but I understand it can be disappointing since its probably the last release for this one, and everyone and his grand mother wanted one

Seeing the various product pictures put by @samo it looks a bit more like symmetric placement is maybe not always what is optimal for when one will wear it (But I don't have this on the recent 13.5 oz dobby cloth CPO)
I looked again at all the picture from this thread, and imo this batch has maybe this thing a bit more accentuated. Enough pictures to see it.But honestly, when wearing it and moving around a bit in front of the mirror, it's more difficult to see, and I think I do now because I have noticed it

Especially with some layers, fabric is moving and the closed button line tends to move a lot, making this "asymmetry" practically invisible.
So could very well be that the placement is done to account for how the fabric will move/mold onto the body. It's everyone choice to keep it or not ! Still debating but I'll probably keep it.
Pictures if I do

Not sure but could it be there are these visual pocket alignment things only with certain sizes? I really don't wanna drag this conversation on. My SP-large doesn't have any and it looks symmetrical. I appreciate and accept minor things personally especially when things are hand sewn with high quality construction.
Although I must say I do not blame if someone is not happy with for example a clearly visible chest pocket misalignment. My knowledge of sewing is limited, but I know things that aren't either pattern matched (not the case here) or have pockets that aren't aligned would not win the British sewing bee. And of course for many people such a garment is a big investment as well so their feedback is justified.
The distance from the placket would not bother me but if the pocket are misaligned I would also be slightly dissapointed. -
@kojimastreets That is a killer combo. I need duck 888s to go with mine.

Just jumped on a return to Iron Heart Germany. Shout out to @Shane-B for keeping me in the loop and hooking me up.
Looking forward to taking delivery!:)
