@flannel-slut I had to do it as I looked here and saw that Canada was ranked 38 out of 48…I needed something to laugh about.
-
@goosehd haha rankings shmankings… group B is up for grabs!!

The Scots straight up embarrassed the American Irish of Boston. They outdrank their St Paddy’s Day efforts.
I would blame FIFA as much as America for commercializing the water break. What originated by necessity in Qatar will remain a fixture to make more people more money. I don’t see how you can see the corruption of FIFA and assign blame solely to the US for that. Enshittification is an international phenomenon, we just led the way.
I feel the same way as G about the Cup and FIFA’s corruption. And yet the games have been extremely entertaining as long as you mute Alexei Lalas or watch Telemundo.
After USA, pulling for England.

@mclaincausey did you see highlights of them at Fenway? I’ve been to a few playoff games where you could feel the foundation shake and it looked like nothing compared to what the Scottish (dodged that one) did during a regular season mid June game. Fucking awesome.

Happy to celebrate Canada’s first WC win

@flannel-slut yeah I saw that! Absolutely fantastic - looks like even the English are behaving ok for a change

Still absolutely buzzing from the game. I am quite negative about the national team, and have been this tournament. But seeing how they played yesterday, fighting for every inch, as a team, heaving each others backs in a hostile atmosphere was nothing short of f*cking incredible, and I think that is all us as fans want, everyone fighting for the badge! They made the country extremely proud - and as for Bellingham, the bloke is an absolute animal. Playing with the same aura as Zinedine Zidane.
All the lads ive been critical of either their inclusion or performances (not that they would remotely care) stood tall, Dan Burn was colossal when he came on, Djed Spence made some key challenges when he came on and Pickford was at his annoying best! Bring on Saturday night

So proud of that performance, was epic, iconic, the lot. It's embarrassing how some of the English media have gone on about Bellingham in the build up to the World Cup and even in the early games, calling him to be dropped. He's a leader, has undeniable belief and desire and the squad togetherness is wonderful to see. We dug deep, game had so many twists and turns, emotionally left me sat with my heart in my mouth. Loved Jude at the end going up to his team mates, still laughing at Kane losing his voice and persisting with the interview - walk away from it son!

Buzzing for the Norway game.

Nothing connects me to this team, but believe me, it was truly moving to see England play such a match! Unforgettable! WoW!
Huge victory this morning!
Bellingham! Seriously! A war dog! His best position on a football pitch? On the fucking pitch! He is a true brave! Insane! Aged 23! Fearless! Impressive! You can travel anywhere with this kind of guy!
It helps to have a real manager on the bench!

@louisbosco Don't underestimate the effects of altitude on these kinds of guys!
