Our friend David Thomson (brother of Alex) finished sailing in Gosport from Cape Town today. He was sailing with James Ketchell who is the first guy to cycle, fly and ail around the world. It took them 45 days from Cape Town, and boy did they need a drink when they arrived

Third time in as many weeks in Florida. This time it’s for a wedding. I’d never been to Flagler Beach before, but it’s a nice little sleepy beach town.

No pics but you can have a link! I’m in town for a concert later so I thought I’d check out the Skate 50 exhibition first.

I don’t skate. I never have. I lacked the coordination and (if I’m honest) the balls when I was growing up . But …

… the undercroft beneath the Queen Elizabeth Hall is one of those fabulous places where different words collide and everyone seems to rub along together. It’s a place I have grown to love because of this and it was cool to learn a bit more about its origins and some of its stories.

Worth checking out if you’re in London in the next week.

Romantic that I am, I never proposed. We both had time off from work over Christmas and New Year and I said "we have some time, let's buy a ring".
