The Evolution of Iron Heart

@Boit wow, quite the journey and so many different pairs! You've given me a preview of where my 634S' may get to, but I'm hoping to get any serious wear like in your second set of photos Sashiko stitched. Where do your retired pairs go? Some people chuck em up on the wall, which is cool.
It's funny though, I think some pairs stand out more when there's still some dark (indigo or otherwise) character in them. Makes me excited to eventually secure an IB pair, though I'm gonna hold out for a 888 XHSib, so I'll need to be patient and give my 21oz some hell till then.

@Boit you darn it yourself?

@wjw heck no. https://www.indigoproof.com/
Unfortunately by the time I got many of the pairs back, I had moved on and much of the darning is still very stiff. Lots of lessons learned over the years. I am pretty excited about my current rotation. They are all starting to pop.My 40yr old body wont ever get into 32 ever again. I’ve not decided what I want to do with them. Maybe my boys will want them when they get bigger? Thought about having them folded and stacked on a shelf to display them in my office?

@Boit what are some of those lessons?

@wjw dont wait to get em repaired, get all the shrink out before you set the creases, crocking is real, patience…fades happen with time(wear), it’s a dice roll whether you get frisked goimg through security checkpoint wearing heavy denim,…

It’s almost a 90% certainty for me when I’m wearing IH flying domestically in the States. I’m used to it now. It’s always the button fly area too..

Quite some evolution for a little more than five weeks:
