"Why Can't Iron Heart Make More Stuff"
-
Iron Heart’s success as a brand and the growth that you’ve seen in the international market are no surprise to those of us who know how good the jeans really are.
What’s surprising is how many idiots out there are dying to jump into the market and don’t take the time to even read a single thing for context. This forum, social media, on your own site, there’s been a tremendous amount of transparency from Iron Heart about your process and your production challenges. The willful ignorance of folks then demanding you somehow produce the product they want and the complete lack of understanding what the product even IS that they want would almost be funny if it weren’t so dumb.

@sabergirl I (though more accurately, we) just sell something that someone else makes.....
-
-
This is why I set my alarm for new releases and restocks.

(some) people think everything they want has to be available when they want it

I think people expect everything on tap nowdays I have come from a time when you had to wait for things commercialism has changed peoples expectations and they have lost the ability to be patient.its the way we have been brainwashed by big money grabbing corps.

Seen all those comments on facebook, most of them are nuts to understand.
Asking random questions jeans fit sizes, from those have no experience at all or when stock coming back in.
Seen many time Giles tell them IH fourm email Iron Heart.
Am surprised Giles still keeping his cool

-
To be fair I don’t think it’s just in the last few years that people expect things to be instantly available, it’s been like that all of my adult life. The race to the bottom for manufacturing started at least in the 70s and people expect more of something to be made (usually by cutting corners) and for a cheaper price. If a brand refuses to drop their standards people are taken aback.
@Kasi i left the Facebook group because there were too many idiots in there.

Unfortunately that is why I am there.....
Giles there saying bashing your head against a donkey will always be a donkey
Your brave give you that. To be honest the facebook group is a different breed same applies to the Good Art Group.
IH fourm will always be cool

@GraemeE
Varuca Salt wasn’t just a good band

-
Staggering how little people take the time to read before they complain. I think it’s been addressed many, many times how few factories are making the type of goods that IronHeart produces. With the shift toward fast fashion and cheap clothes. I can’t imagine it’s going to be easier either.

@pechelman I suspect ardent 555/666/777/1955 fans would have something to say if we only opted for 634 and 888 in the next run of [insert favourite denim here].
I can understand your point, but I think it would be very difficult for us just to consistently choose which denims to make in which cut and not disappoint customers even more
-
@Kasi Honestly, there are some really cool donkeys.
They are among my favourite animals. But I have too many favourite animals...
-
@Giles you do a great job educating in the FB group
-
@AdamJ of course that is the issue. Throughout posts it's clear IH can't and won't please everyone, and surely this is a strategy you've all considered, but it does seem strange to me that even with the current state of things there are new cuts and denims being added which would seem to only make the existing problem worse and not better.
There might be a middle ground where you can make all the cuts but you dedicate specific fabrics to them each year? All my point is that making everything in everything really isn't doing any favors.
