I by no means speak for IH. I’m a customer, just like you.
That said, my understanding has always been that samples often aren’t 100% accurate representative of the finished product.
So until IH UK receives the shirts they won’t know, and I don’t think it’s unreasonable for us (being customers) to simply wait until the shipment is received.
Furthermore, if you did order the shirt and make a note in the order asking to ship you one with a symmetric pattern, I’m certain IH would and if they can’t they’ll tell you straight up.

The shirt looks great, and plenty of us genuinely like it. I don’t really understand why some people are reacting so strongly—if it’s not your style, you can simply choose not to buy it.
The negativity feels unnecessary and doesn’t add anything constructive to the discussion. A bit harsh too.
From my own experience, IH staff consistently go above and beyond to provide detailed information and helpful advice, always taking the time to support customers properly. The level of care, attention, and customer service they offer is, in my opinion, among the best and I can guarantee you will not find it in other brands/retailers easy. -

I’ve taken a few hours to collect my thoughts for a measured response to the above. There has not been an intentional contempt for customers and we have honestly tried numerous times to answer your questions to the best of our ability.
When this issue was first raised, one of our own forum memebers (@Daniel-San ) responded with this was a sample and we wouldn’t know how the shirt looked until production. I have followed up with the same response on a few occasions with the same response, affirmed by @AdamJ stating the same. Even @Giles has responded to the concern with the same answer.
Until the shirts have landed in IHUK, we (IHUK) will not exactly know what the shirt will look like. We have asked everyone to give the crew time to look at the shirts to know exactly what is or isn’t going to be there.
I know it’s hard dealing with the unknown and we live in a society that we want answers now…that’s not always the case nor is it a realistic expectation. There is an old saying that says “good things come to those who wait”. We are asking, specifically I am asking for you to give IHUK a little time to look at what comes in before any rash decisions are made.
I also want to stress, that by this point the shirts are at or very near completion. Not much can be done at this point other than to wait. Trust in the system or don’t remembering that in the big scheme of things, it is a shirt. Nothing more, nothing less. With all of the things going on in the world, should we really fret over the pattern of one item…

There is nothing that can be done with this batch. They are made, so I repeat, they will be what they will be, going on and on about how bad they are achieves nothing other than piss the people off who make and sell them. Again, when we get them, if we think there is an issue, we will bring it up with Haraki.

The design is very different from pretty much any pattern I have seen for the flannels. No one with any sense was asking IH to change how they designed the shirt. Frankly, I see customers all very excited about the color, and some customers asking a design question as the pictured design, is pretty far off from other IH 12 oz of 9oz flannels (not all) and just wanting information, credible information to be ready to make a commitment of $400 or not. If folks do not like it, of which I am one, that is our issue, but it was kinda a bummer to see the IH folks and others start bagging on people, when if you read this thread the information about IH's OWN shirt was all of the place.
We said it was a sample a number of times. We said we did not know what production items would look like. Basically until we get them here, we have no idea what they will look like. When we do we will publish photos before the product goes live. So I simply do not understand why people have to repeatedly beat up on an unknown. They are basically made, or at the very least cut. They cant be changed and asking Haraki what they are like achieves nothing.

Iron Heart and contempt for the customer? I've never heard such bullshit. Maybe IH has to put up with some of that shit here but I won't. IMO you should all shut up. What's so difficult about waiting for the final result? And if you don't like it, then don't buy it. Nobody is obligated to satisfy your tastes, and certainly not to read your endless, repetitive nonsense here.

Quick question, are these also aspero cotton like the UHF? I remember reading somewhere about the potential for a new cotton being used in flannels. I love this color and pattern.
