Your IH Denim Rotation

@cyclops. I do have back ups but only from cuts or denim that may not comeback and that is like alot. For example I have 3 pairs of 463 cut and 2 pairs of the pronto 25oz double indigo.
-
@dwils I had a similar wait time with my current competition pair. I figure it won't be as bad.
-
I won’t bring up other brands names, but I used to have a bad habit of buying multiples of the same cut because I was worried they’d stop making it. At one point I had six new pairs sitting and three in rotation one just the one model.
I haven’t done that with Iron Heart. Part of it is that I like to rotate more now, so it’s hard for me to put that kind of concentrated wear on a single pair. But also, when I do commit like I did with my 25oz over the last few winters they’re so bulletproof it almost feels like you can’t wear them out.
I finally sent them in for repairs a couple of weeks ago, but that was after about three years of hard use.
But… I think I’m gonna get a back up when it drops again of the 666s 21 oz indigo. But that’s because I wear them for work and they’re gonna fade out really quick and I need a fresh pair.
lol -
I have a few pairs of 777, 21oz, XHS, 14oz black, slubby and duck, I was changing each week between them and got the black to start fading but the last 6 or so months have only worn XHS and they're starting to fade really fast now.
Problem is, now with my first pair of 888 xhsib I'm contemplating my life choices, I don't want to like them TOOOO much and neglect my 777s, but I do like the higher rise alot

Busters with hidden arcs
Here’s a better look at arcs

Its enough to make me fat again. -
I really like tonal pocket stitching on my 555 21oz jeans, so when I heard the cut was updating to gold pocket stitching in line with other cuts, I sourced a tonal pair to put away for future use. In reality I already have enough 555 21oz jeans in current rotation to last out my lifetime (and at some point I should probably bow to the age gods and covert to 634!), so I really didn’t need to snag a reserve pair - but FOMO is a killer! I’m also too big a wuss to ever consider snipping the arcs off my jeans

-
@IH-GARY a seam ripper will make removing the arcs real easy! I did that for another brand's arcs years ago. Took about 10 minutes max.
I believe in you if that's what you want to do!
-
@iamjustdanny Gold arc's don't bother me - I just prefer the tonal stitch - but if I ever go for it and have a bash with a seam ripper, I will be grateful for your belief in my abilities! Cheers buddy!

Do they all still fit?
-
@northsouthdenimguy haha after reading yours and a few others posts on back up cuts, my lack of self control got the better of me and i bought another pair. I mentally designated the pair that i bought as my 'work' jeans. I need help

im dying to know how you made 6 of the same pair and 3 in rotation work hahah -
So I had three in rotation: one well worn pair, one medium, and one crisp depending on what I was doing. I would rotate between those three, and out of fear that this particular maker was going to discontinue the cut, I bought six more. I basically searched worldwide and believe I bought every pair in my size that was available, and then while a lot of stockists stopped carrying them, they did pop back up through a few sites and retailers. lol.
Since then, I’ve sold all but one pair, picked up one other cut, so I’m down to just two pairs and even now debating whether to keep those. The lighter weight denim, around 13.5 oz, is typically what I wear all summer, trying to acclimate my body to heavier stuff year round. Ideally I’d just run Iron Heart for all my denim.
