WHY do all these 'smart' TVs have LAG?! I miss the days when you push a button and the thing responds instantaneously. Combine this with the dumbass Search alphabet interface all streaming services now have it is a recipe for rage-yeeting the remote at the screen.

There is no use of AI that will ever entice me to its use. It’s completely unsustainable from an energy standpoint, and is already contributing to the death of human cognition and creativity. I want nothing to do with any of it. That doesn’t make me a curmudgeon, nor does it put me out of touch with reality. I just hope the bubble bursts on this stupid tech before some bad actor does irreparable harm to the earth or humanity, or both.

The founder of Anthropic, Dario Amodei writes a blog, and his recent post shares all of his reservations about the tech, which are horrifying. Chief among them is someone using AI to manufacture a bioweapon. I just had a parcel delivered today which I had no idea what it was, Evri were delivereing it and it turned out it was for my neighbour... it was quite heavy, and there were two boxes

I went down my steps outside my home to go and chap his door and ended up rolling my ankle on the last step, in future I wont be taking parcels in for anyone 😅

You’re going to get me T-boned.

This just happened to me moments ago, and it happens all the time. Why are people so scared? If I’m timing the turn, just keep moving. Don’t stop and try to be nice, just go, you idiot.
