@hgering27 they also had “seconds” of the indigo sashiko pop up randomly on the site, that’s how I got mine earlier this year.
-
@concretor Well worn V2 brother. Very nice

-
Do the sashiko shirts shrink? Looking at XL and 2XL and probably between sizes. Would take the shoulder measurement of 2XL but the other measurements of XL gladly.
-
@Northman yeah they shrink considerably. I’m between 2 and 3xl because of my chest and shoulders. I got 3xl and did a super hot soak/hot wash/hot machine dry and it shrank a good amount. I don’t have exact dimensions but it definitely shrank
-
I wasn’t really surprised. If you spend any time reading his IG responses to people who ask questions or leave comments, it’s pretty clear that customer service isn’t his strong suit. That said, his crotchety attitude is probably part of the appeal for a lot of people
️
Edit: I don’t have anything against his attitude. I just think it’s really funny to read his responses to people.

-
@northsouthdenimguy yea I get a kick out of the comments too haha but anytime I’ve reached out to the shop directly they’ve had awesome customer service. I was surprised about the email because he made a point to say an email was coming but it was essentially what was already stated in the comments.
-
@denami exactly, there wasnt really anything else said in the email... its also funny because his actual team of employees are actually SUPER nice and their customer service is great. Mike just seems kind of to the point, no fluff
-
Yes, their customer service has been great the few times that I’ve interacted with them.
I’ve generally lowered my expectations for on-time MTO footwear and preorder clothing. I don’t think I’ve had anything over last handful of years that’s been on time.
-
@northsouthdenimguy I agree my expectations are lower for MTO, BUT on the website it says “delivery by end of November at the latest” so that kind of sets an expectation. I work in customer service and sales in a different industry, and I tend to live by, “under promise, over deliver.”
I’m just really wanting to finally have it. I know it’ll be worth the wait.
-
Who all got the your Kristofferson jacket is ready and then an email right after saying oops just kidding…

-
@northsouthdenimguy For 6 mins, it was like Christmas had come early

-
@northsouthdenimguy I was SO excited, and then saw the second email and was ready to pay...
-
@concretor one of the few i've seen that are really worn.
-
Ship John x Wesco Derroll Engineers have landed. I put down the deposit in October and here they are before Christmas! I was expecting spring or early summer.
Definitely going into heavy rotation and just wanted to post some pictures of the 'before'. I have a pair of White's engineers and these feel a little finer and more substantial. I'll post some patina pics going forward. -
@Heritage_Guy You’re going to love em.

I’ve had two version one Wills jackets and they are extremely well made, but I sold them. I personally don’t like that they don’t have any vent holes in the arm pits, waxed jackets can be like wearing a plastic rain coat at times, and ventilation is needed IMHO. I recently purchased a coated N1 from IH and saw that they have done this which I think is brilliant!
I realize the design limitation with the version one Wills for the inside pocket, but it was too small and useless really. I see they have corrected this with the addition of a liner in the version two, but the liner just increases the lack of ventilation IMHO. I had a waxed rambler with a liner and it was without ventilation as well, Sold that also. SJ is a great company, not knocking them as I have leather products made by them which are awesome, Wills are just not my cup of tea.
