@GraemeE may sound crazy, but the dishwasher works great for cleaning hats. Otherwise I just thoroughly use the kitchen sink sprayer.
Works everytime

@Heritage_Guy I waited 16 months for mine
worth the wait though🥰
Hope you will love yours!🫶

Little update on the Kristofferson. Start of my first full season with this, getting near daily wear in the frigid Boston winter and it's performing as great as I hoped it would.
Starting to see some fades and signs of wear across the denim as well as the brass and leather bits. The wool itself is as tough as the rest of the jacket, no pilling, loose strands, or balding. (Discoloration of the wool in the second picture is a shadow). Hoping to be able to pair this thing with those work pants Mike has been teasing for a while!I'm so jealous of those of you with your sashiko hats, lost mine while abroad last year, and I miss it every day!

Same here. I really wanted try out a pair of their pants/jeans but passed on the recent 15oz denim. In order to get a thigh that’s big enough the waist is too big.
Sadly, I’ve come to the conclusion SJ denim or collared shirts aren’t made for me either… I was looking forward to the black Sashiko, but have a feeling it’s not going to be something that will fit me the way I prefer, although I am holding out hope that the arms are a little less baggy than the denim Townes.

I can still enjoy the T-shirts and all the other random goodness that is SJ

anyone else reach out or hear anything about black sashiko ori delivery or kristofferson jackets? A little disappointing that there havent been any updates on the sashiko when the order page said delivery by end of november at the latest.
edit: and also just to state, I am completely ok with delays and waiting, just wish there was a little information about a timeline
-
@hgering27 Totally agree. I think it's such a cool little company that makes great products and I am sure they are super busy. But yeah a little effort to communicate with customers and especially those who have preordered stuff would be a nice bonus.
I on the other hand am wondering if there is ever any extra that would pop up on the website for those who didn't preorder. Has it happened before? Or is it tough luck if you missed the preorder window?
-
I got an email about a week or so ago saying that they were running behind on the Sashiko.

-
@Northman definitely, i love that its a small company, and they make awesome stuff. I love buying from them. Its just if they set a date on something, id kind of expect some sort of updates if its not going to fall in the advertised timeline, mainly referring to the sashiko as I know the kristofferson they said mid decemberish
-
@northsouthdenimguy yeah i saw that but thats still kind of vague, and that was a message from them from about 2 weeks ago. i am just hoping it comes sooner than later

@hgering27 I was also a bit surprised by the vagueness of that email. I also have no problem waiting but it would be nice to have a rough estimate of when they will be finished.
-
@denami exactly, like i get it, stuff happens, at this point im hoping it comes early january

Not on the website, but extras do pop up in-store which is how I scored my indigo sashiko ori. I stopped by the last time I was in Portland and was surprised to see they had a rack with a number of sizes of the indigo sashiko ori a few weeks after the last pre-order had delivered. The folks there said that they always have a few extras on hand to accommodate size exchanges for pre-orders, and whatever is left hits the shop floor. You might luck into one once the pre-orders go out if you have a buddy in the area.
