IHSH-430-BRN - Slubby Heavy Flannel Check Work Overshirt - Brown
-
Got this one today in London from Rivet & Hide, and I have to say it’s my favorite UHF/SHF. I love the fit (went with my usual size and got the relaxed look I was after) and the texture. Great piece.
-
Just got in from rivet and hide today and I’m honestly shocked at how heavy it is. Not in a bad way, it’s just quite substantial. I opted to go down a size from what I would usually buy and got a xxxl and I am quite pleased with the fit. Great pattern and colors

Fountainhead NY has a few larger sizes atm
-
@hgering27 Fit looks spot on

Got this in a med should be perfect as an over shirt but the forearms are too tight to actually have a hoodie under it. I love iron heart quality but I feel as if there’s alway a by the way with the fit
-
@xtrevorx I sized down from my usual medium in the work shirt to a small based off of measurements and how I wanted to wear this. It fits slightly larger than my typical medium, but I definitely noticed the tightness in the forearms and cuffs. It’s manageable for me when I wear it as a shirt, but when I slip the hoodie underneath it, I just unbutton the cuffs and it resolves that issue for me. Maybe worth a try

Stopped into BlackBlue today and they still had an XL in stock.
They don't anymore

-
Convinced this is the nicest flannel colourway IH has ever done. Really enjoying this shirt.

-
@nurunuru I wasn’t really sure about this one at first but I reach for it a lot. The Slubby flannels might be my favorite.
-
There is one XXXL on a small sale at Tendrel. Someone grab it before I cave in and spend more money.
-
@Northman be aware these run big, I am a XXL/xxxl in most IH tops and my 430 is on the edge of too big. Gave it a warm wash recently and now the fit is better
-
@FlavourFade hey man if you can be bothered...what were the "settings" of your warm wash ?
Did you loose much in Sleeves length ? I'd prefer not with my monkey arms
I'm in the same boat as you, shirt is slightly big. It fits with the style and I like it, but slightly fitter would perfect.
-
@Slash sure mate!! Always a pleasure to help a buddy out. I did not take measurements because I knew if it would shrink anything between a half of full size I'd be alright. Threw it in the washer at 30 or 40°c (don't remember anymore) and 800 spin cycle. While the body, chest & shoulders only shrank a little, length in body and sleeves shortened noticably. It's now less oversized and more like a traditional work shirt.
-
@FlavourFade Great info, many thanks, but I guess I'll need to be carefull then with washing since I don"t want to loose sleeves length.
Liking this shirt more and more with wearing.
-
Btw...how often do you all wash your flannel/slubby shirts ?
I have been wearing this one as an over-shirt mostly currently, and it's not yet dirty at all (office job, worn 5 times max), so I'm leaning towards not washing too much, as I do with most clothes not needing it.
The fabric is merely touching my skin, BUT there is the collar off course

Would not want to end with an unrecoverable dirty collar.Happy sunday folks
