@Brandrea technically, both 14mm and 17mm will work. My guess would be 14mm is a better size. @ShopatIronHeart can we see a comparison?

@Ikeaparty Ah, makes sense! Funny how we all focus on different measurements.

Many thanks for this! I went with the 17mm on my 293, I think you’re right, 14mm will look best on this one.

@Brandrea @Tago-Mago First two are the 14mm Snap (closest size to the snaps already in situ), the second two pictures are the 17mm Snap. Hope this helps!

@Bailey very helpful, thank you so much!

The smaller size looks better to my eye, but I don’t really think there’s a wrong answer.

Maybe two smaller snaps are in order for this shirt ….

I have one other SHF and can’t remember if I got much if any shrink with cold wash/hang. My normal Large in this might be a little snug if it snugs up even a hair.

I used to go size L across the board with all of my Iron Heart western shirts. However, lately I started working out more and find that the shoulders are getting slightly tight with the flannels. My other non-flannel shirts still fit fine. Does anyone here on the forums size up in just the flannels? I am thinking of trying XL in this shirt. The only issue might be the sleeve length. I am a 35" sleeve and it seems the XL flannels average to around a 36" sleeve.

@scooby9 I’ve had a similar issue with shoulders and working out, but fwiw I haven’t had any trouble with UHFs, rather just more rigid stuff like leather jackets and hefty denim shirts. Might be worth a try for you to see how you like it, but I’ve found sizing up leaves me with a bigger chest measurement than I want. Just an opinion, but I find that there’s enough flex/softness in the flannel that it hasn’t been a problem yet.

@popvulture you raise a very valid point regarding chest size. I too do not like having too much loose material around the body. My actual chest size is 39" so the XL might be a tad loose in the torso.

@scooby9 I go XL in everything, and XXL in flannels. For whatever reason I just like my flannels more cozy feeling and don't care about them having a slimming profile.

2XL was slightly too snug, although it is my go-to size.
