IHSB-PR-NAT - Iron Heart x Simmons Bilt Horsehide Western Shirt - The Pale Rider - Natural
-
Would it be available IH Germany?
-
@Luke_is_back I think it's in the coming soon section of their website, isn't it? @Shane-B
-
@indigostiff thanks brotha, appreciate the insight! I think I’ll go with the size up then. Should be a killer faded for sure!
-
Can’t wait for this beaut
-
@AdamJ How is this shirt from "the last one"?
-
@FlavourFade @Tago-Mago Thanks guys
-
@northsouthdenimguy Is it new one or the previous one?
-
Not sure about the age bought it on eBay within the last couple months or so, it was virtually unworn. Assuming it was from the last run, but the “experts” here would know better than me.
-
Anyone else deciding between this and natural Big Buck?
-
@northsouthdenimguy yours is from the first run mate
-
@Luke_is_back this version is blattwerk horsehide, which starts off a slightly different colour to the previous iteration of the Pale Rider. It also only arrived last week, so impossible for anything other than the previous iteration to be out in the ether
-
Is this Blattwerk sample on the right the same leather as on the new shirt?
@Mizmazzle said in IHSB-PR-NAT - Iron Heart X Simmons Bilt Horsehide Western Shirt - The Pale Rider - Natural:

All samples have been pegged to my backyard fence for about 9-10 months or so. (The split steer has only been out for about 2 months)
Full elements of Denver, Colorado. Tons of sun, rain, snow, very cold weather and very hot weather. Dry arid climate. Leather samples have not been treated.
Left Sample= Mustang Natural: Very hard and stiff now.
Middle Left Sample= Steer Natural: Lots of color change and very hard and stiff
Middle Right Sample= Natural Blattwerk: Very mild color change, still spongy and pretty soft. Would still be comfortable to wear in its current state.
Right Sample= Split Steer from the IHJ-49 Black: still has a nice suede hand feel, slightly stiffer than the control sample (That whiteish blemish was already there when I tacked it up) -
Oh cool, thanks for the info.
I guess I could get up to speed on the differences -
@Go-For-Chill Yes sir!
-
I originally thought I cared about the difference between the two leathers but at the end of the day I know I’m going to buy it anyway so who cares!

I’m sure this has been answered somewhere, but after reading/scanning through 1,315 posts… and at the risk of losing my IH Deity status
here’s my simple question. From what I’m seeing, the original release was May 30, 2022, and then there was a restock on March 27, 2023 using the same leather. Were there any actual differences between the first stock and the restock?
I understand the one releasing on December 2 is a little different, but I’m just trying to get the history straight on the PR
As for the question about mine earlier, I just wasn’t sure if it was from the original or the restock

@northsouthdenimguy I have the old version, which features much more of a sueded, raw veg tanned leather. That makes it much stiffer, seemingly, than the new one. I absolutely wear it as an overshirt, at most with a western shirt underneath. I an 5'11" 188 lbs and wear an XL. The sleeves are still fitted after two years of wear, as are the shoulders. The "new" version appears to have much softer, almost textured leather, which isn't to my taste, and doesn't look as stiff / structured as the old one.
-
@FlavourFade Hi mate, good to hear from you! I usually wear L in western and work, but am glad this was XL, cause it feels like it adjusted to my body after 390 days wear (so far), and also it was good to have a little room under it so I could layer it when I liked to, and could wear it in 43 degrees C in the South African Christmas holiday. For me, this size is really versatile, and has made it possible to use it in so many ways. Cheers
