This may be a stupid question, but I've had these on sleep until now, when the temperatures higher, and my beloved 888 25oz and 21oz is taking a little break, until the temperatures drop. The thing is that they bleed a lot of color. My fingers and nails are darker, just by putting the jeans on. I fear that my lighter/grey car seats will take some "damage" along with my couch etc. Does it help giving them a wash? I usually have at least 200+ wears before I wash my IH jeans for the first time, and now I am afraid that it will loose fading potential, if I wash them now.. any tips are very welcomed

they’ll stop crocking eventually but washing once (or twice) probably wont save your couch (or your car). just gotta embrace that or put a towel down. I bet you could try washing and drying your way through the crocking but that seems needlessly wasteful. maybe you could avoid the couch or the car for a while with these. and/or dont worry about the atari? maybe these you wash more frequently and see if you like the fades you get from doing that? I see many most excellent fades from people that wash weekly*. I may just be trying that myself with a couple pairs I am getting into.

@Boit thanks a lot for your helpful answer good sir! I think I'll just try to stay away from the car and the couch for a little while these then. But it's also tempting to experiment with a little more frequent washing as you said..

any updates on these? both restock and/or fades? Haven't seen much 14oz OD fades but I'm a huge fan of the 14's and these seem to be still sulfur od, ya?

14oz OD is definitely a fabric that flies under the radar for me. Don't pay much attention then when it restocks and you get it in hand, it's great!

Not going to work for these lanky long legs that like a cuff.
I love the feel of this fabric!

@ShopatIronHeart Is the inseam dimension intentional in this case, or a result of the OD process? Where's the love for the lanky twits at?

Hi @long_john86, This is likely to be caused by the OD process and making the inseam slightly shorter than a non-OD item.

That is a great fit. 888 and OD are two of my favorite things IH.

@catdad1 thanks man! This is my first OD and I didn’t expect it to be so soft (or crocky)! I was thrilled with the measurements and the fit is perfect imo. I love how black they start off. I expected more blue at first, but I’m sure they’ll be great at every stage of evo. I’ve really been gravitating to the 14oz, it’s just so versatile and comfortable for every season.
