Yokeless for the win!
-
Will this have the same velvety smooth hand that the 9oz IHSH-330 Whipcord has?
-
Someone convince me that this is different enough to the 381.

-
Beautiful! Whipcord is such a great fabric and the green is a great choice.
-
@Mister_Brue just caught myself checking the same thing.. even worse for my own self justification attempts: I did have the 381 fitted with copper snaps. On the other hand: my 381 is just a bit too short to be ideal, so will keep an eye on the measurements.
-
@Tobi I know, I copied you and also have copper on my 381.
Hope this one’s a bit longer for you… -
@Tobi @Mister_Brue Looks like a completely different shade of green to me!
-
@jebrand That’ll do.

Hi, I have the 381 too, and I’m wondering how does this one stands in terms of warmth, and how breathable it is ?
I’m not familiar with whipcord fabric only from the N-1 I’ve got, but it’s a different world I guess. -

I attend to use it for spring and late summer where I live (Central Europe), and I was wondering how the whipcord fabric compare to the 381.

I know, the emoji was intended to get an answer from @ShopatIronHeart or @Alex. (but they are very busy today)

@jthomz @endo Being a whipcord, it's woven a little tighter than the serge of the 381. In terms of warmth and breathability, they're both relatively lightweight (for us, anyway!) cotton fabrics, so I don't think you'll notice much between them — but at a push, the whipcord may be a little more windproof/less breathable.
I'd say the whipcord also feels smoother and a little stiffer. And not forgetting, it's reactive-dyed, meaning it will be more fade-resistant than the sulphur-dyed serge. Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot Sam !
