Red Wing Shoes

@WhiskeySandwich @PJ My first thought when I got these out of the box was: Damn, I'm gonna have to get these in the Briar as well.
-
Here are some loggers 4585 from the last release the briar oil slick has a quite reddish burgundy colour to it which I Iike.

-
@Oaktavia I keep getting sucked back in as well. Always had a soft spot for Mocs.
-
@Oaktavia Red Wing is great imo. And it's good to have a sizeable manufacturer of solid, high quality shoes/boots still in business. Far from a given these days.
And even though I really like (and wear) a lot of the stuff, it wouldn't be too hard to make the case that the whole "luxury work boot" thing has gotten a bit out of hand. Entry level Vibergs for instance have gotten up to $1000 from what I can see.
-
@JunkPants yeah I just honestly don't see the draw for spending that much money or more than I already have on boots. I'm more of a denim lover while boots are more secondary. I like the idea of RW because they are less fancy but imo in a good way. More "plain" while still looking great.
-
@Denimhead-0 those choc mocs are noice
-
@JunkPants Im right there with you. I had a black pair put aside but seeing both made it almost impossible to choose. The black briar looks amazing . Now sold out my size at the local AD

Well said!

@matt_rost thanks
I was trying to express my organic thoughts the best I could there. -
Huckberry just posted a video of them touring Red Wing. A really fun watch
-
@marco23d That was great. (Was going to post it myself).
Dig those 8060 Pecos. -
@Gammaman I've got a pair from an older release dated 2009. They don't have the storm welt like yours. I actually found them this year listed as "vibram boot" but I recognised what they were!
-
Yeah these are made in 2012 but purchased in 2017 I think worn not very much new boot overload.
