@northsouthdenimguy i love those CS boots. I might pick up some 350-LTTCS too. If they’re on sale then it’s okay lol. I hear you about wearing laced boots though. Engineers look sweet but they’re not supportive

I got the C350 cs black double shot and they are great. Sturdy boots these White's.
The only thing that annoys me is that the leather part of the insole ( at the back ) that starts midfoot inside the right boot started to peel off a bit quite early when taking off the boots during the break-in period. I wonder if anyone else experienced this? I wonder If I should use some sort of glue for it. -
Yes, simple enough to do with a contact adhesive.

Edited: Just got home from a trip and my White’s 4014 Cykel boots finally came after a 4 month wait. They’re perfect but I’m not sure if should keep them or not. I only have ever worn red wings and I know the construction difference is huge. These things are tanks. I know it takes time for boots to break in. But other dudes on here with whites nomads or cykels, did they hurt at first? The length is great but the sides and arch is pretty uncomfortable. Plus they make all of my 888s look like tight pants even with the buckles up top all the way in. Just looking for advice! -

Did y’all order from Baker’s or directly from White’s? FWIW I ordered from Baker’s my first time around, didn’t have a good experience, and ordered from White’s for my last pair. Their customer service was nicer and my boots got to me a lot faster as well.
@Choko they do feel pretty severe at first, like sometimes people describe it as standing on a ladder rung, but I’ve found they break in pretty quickly. As for the issue with 888s, I’ve never had any White’s engineers, but I’ve had several other brands and have never been able to wear em with 888s. I think if you happen to have smaller feet, the shafts might subsequently be narrower and it’s therefore a little easier, but I wear 13s and 888s have never worked. Pretty much why I only wear 634s, although I do have a pair of 888 I wear with less bulky shoes/boots. Hope that helps! I do think those look killer and if it were me, I’d give em a chance.

@popvulture thank you. Yeah I would buy some 634s but I already have so many pairs of 888s and I don’t want to restart! 888s look perfect with moc toe boots or round toe. I’ll just wear other style pants with these engineers I guess. Until I get some straight leg jeans. And I ordered straight from Whites during the sale in June. Only paid $480 for these but they told me the wait would be longer since they only have 1 guy who can do engineer boots

@Choko ah I seeee re: the long wait. I’ve had my eye on some Nomads, so that’s good to know for future ref. I’ve been meaning to call them to ask how custom they can get with the engineers.
I hear you on having a bunch of one fit. I’ve got some shoes that don’t go super well with the wider leg openings, and I just never end up wearing em.
