White's Boots
-
@popvulture thank you. Yeah I would buy some 634s but I already have so many pairs of 888s and I don’t want to restart! 888s look perfect with moc toe boots or round toe. I’ll just wear other style pants with these engineers I guess. Until I get some straight leg jeans. And I ordered straight from Whites during the sale in June. Only paid $480 for these but they told me the wait would be longer since they only have 1 guy who can do engineer boots
-
@Choko ah I seeee re: the long wait. I’ve had my eye on some Nomads, so that’s good to know for future ref. I’ve been meaning to call them to ask how custom they can get with the engineers.
I hear you on having a bunch of one fit. I’ve got some shoes that don’t go super well with the wider leg openings, and I just never end up wearing em.
-
The Max Shaaf engineers have landed. Very pleased with the fit and build quality. Especially at the Summer Sale price. Can't wait to break these bad boys in. -
@Heritage_Guy those are killer. Nice score!
-
My first pair of White’s. Ramblers in distressed roughout which happen to be a perfect color match to my dog

-
-
@SKT yeah I couldn't quite believe it when I took them out the box literally a perfect match

Have to say it was the pics of your pair that pushed me over the edge!
-
MP-Sherman in Armagnac shell cordovan.

-
Loved these ramblers so much I went for a pair of original cruiser in the black friday sale, turned up last week, pics to follow.

-
350 Cruisers in brown roughout.

-
Also worth pointing out it was @SKT ’s pics that pushed me over the edge for both of these boots and we now have the same 2 pair’s of White’s

-
@hjl360 Great pick up!
-
@hjl360 sweet! Kinda want to get my c355 resolved as wedges. I’m on polished concrete like 90% of the time, and I fantasize about them being much comfier
-
@mmerkle my first pair of boots with wedge soles so I can only tell you what they are like brand new and that is like walking with cushions under my feet, just absorb every step
-
@mmerkle So worth it, the wedge is a great break from the lugs, especially on concrete all day!
-
@mmerkle I have some Red Wing Beckmans that I had resoled with a wedge, and it's made them MUCH more comfortable in terms of standing for long portions of the day. They certainly don't look as nice/formal as they did with the stock soles, but the comfort gained has been well worth it.
