BIRKENSTOCK-Last for decades, hidden… but shown here on IH.

@Johnnyutah247 best way is to go by your mondo point, Birkenstock is very accurate to that.

My faded purple, London’s on holiday in France. Also pictured 25oz 555s. Hard work in 30c!
-
I’m an 11.25 Brannock and I wear size 44 Arizonas. I wear 45 in the Bostons which I mostly wear in the winter with socks.
-
@Johnnyutah247 I’m at 10 in sneakers. I take a 9m/43 standard width in Arizonas.
I like my foot to fit snugly into the footbed and the leather vamp to be tight. The leather starts snug but stretches a lot, so I usually wind up tightening the strap after the first couple of weeks.

Finally upgraded after years in these! These Boston‘s are so good.

Is it me or have others found that since they got bought up by LVMH that they don’t hold up as long as they used to? The leather seems thinner and the soles have been changed to a new material that wears out really quickly.! seems like that happens to every good product that gets bought up by a bigger company

@jimcord can't say anything about the new ones but just cleaned and conditioned my trusty birkenstock bolds. Would never give them up, they are my house slippers for a couple years now and probably my most worn pair of footwear. Was considering a pair of Zerrows sabots as a replacement but decides these have so much life left in them there's no way I need another house slipper in rotation.
-
@FlavourFade I don‘t want to give mine up either since I also use them as my house shoes too, but I‘ve noticed over the years that my feet got slighlty larger (apparently this is normal) and the birks I had are too narrow now. Sized up to my normal size on the new ones. Planning on keeping these long term.
