Courtney
What size is he wearing?
I'm always L in IH denim shirts but I think the Large for this jacket may be too small for me in the chest/wait. Is XL the right way to go?3XL - that, as well as his measurements are listed on the product page.

With the current Canadian dollar doing poorly, we decided we may need a few extra coins in retirement.
I can’t help with that. In fact I can do the exact opposite

Awesome fit. What size did you end up picking up?

If there is anyone that wears the IH-526J in XXXXL and also owns this, or has tried it on, how does the fit compare? I know the numbers are similar but sometimes theres more to it than direct measurement comparison.
Thanks in advance
envious of all of you that are currently enjoying this jacket!!

Just received mine from Dant and it’s quite literally the perfect heavy type 3. I’m struck by how similar the cut is to my 70’s vintage penny’s ranch wear. Full sleeves, broad shoulders and a nicely nipped waist. Can’t wait to get the weather for it!
-
Hate to bogart but after I soaked the collar and sleeves wet with a water bottle and wore it until dry I’m convinced this is the best type 3 jacket I’ve ever owned. Absolutely hits all the points I wanted. Shorter, no hand warmers and built to move. Absolutely nailed this pattern to the ground.

@ton312 Totally agree. Love the classic, shorter pattern without hand warmer pockets. Wish it was used for more fabrics.
(But I suppose more people want the "modern" jackets, with hand warmer pockets and a longer/slimmer body)

@JunkPants I’d love one with snaps instead of buttons, so I can avoid chewing up the button holes. Perhaps the denim is too thick for it though? Quite a few of my vintage denims have snaps. This is one of my favs. Lee Gemini. It’s reversible! As seen on me and a significantly cooler (RIP) legend in Robert Redford.
