@goosehd I’m staying in an 18th century bathhouse/folly in Warwickshire. I’m sure you’ll see more through the week in WAYWT. The room I’m sitting in is nuts - I’m sure it’ll look better in daylight but this is my current view!

It’s a miserable day outside so I thought I’d share some pics from the place I’m staying. Many details made me think of members of the IH community. Hope it’s not too much!

A suspended stone ceiling for @Mister_Brue - when the building was restored it was tied to the solid floor above with steel cables:

And finally, an extract from the history of the building on the alleged benefits of cold baths:

“At that time people took a bath mainly for medicinal reasons. We know Sir Charles suffered from gout and his doctor would certainly have advised him that a cold dip would be beneficial for this ailment. A cold bath was also held to calm the nerves, improve digestion, invigorate the spirits, and even help to retain "an equal bodily weight". Lengthy immersion was not advised, in case it resulted in a Horror!”

No Horrors experienced so far

@Bridger Warwickshire, between Kineton and Wellesbourne. It’s a fun place but the visitors info does tell you not to stray from the path through the woods in case you get shot!
