I started watching it but it seemed like it’s going to focus more on the people than on the crimes and investigations. If that’s the case I’m out.
Murderbot on the other hand is my new favorite. Alexander Skaarsgard is a security robot that hates people and spends most of his time fighting the urge to kill them.

@Giles we’re 5 episodes in. Allie is liking it more than I am. Great acting, very well shot, but the scenes in the pressure chamber are too numerous and redundant. And I also think they stretched it out a bit to make it 10 episodes. That said, I’m also all in for the payoff.
No spoilers please, but I can’t shake the feeling that the Syrian is the shooter.

The Mortician - documentary about dodgy mortuary practices in the US in 1980s - worth seeing. I got it on Sky in UK (HBO?).

I really disliked Season 3 of The Bear,so it was with some degree of trepidation I turned on Season 4,and so far,3 episodes in and,I’m really loving it. If you never watched it I would tell you to skip season 3. The didn’t even do a recap at the beginning. Maybe they didn’t want to remind everyone. According to The NY Times they hoped to have learned from their mistakes. If you never liked it you still won’t like it.

This is a few years old now, but have watched all three series twice over now - The Deuce - its such a well made series, the art direction is top notch, when you watch it feels like you are really watching the 1970s. After Mad Men, its the best TV series I have seen - Anyone else watched this or is it just me?
-
@Jett129, I started TRG because of hearing about it on this forum.
I loved this series. Fantastic casting, great character development and funny AF.
To quote Judy from the final episode "I will suck it, fuck it, munch it or punch it". TV writing doesn't get much better.

Fantastic @Jett129, thanks for the tip!

Not sure if it will be available everywhere, but the first episode of the series “Japan’s Master of Restoration” was fascinating and I’ll definitely watch the others. Loved the skill, attention to detail and the interaction between Koji Mayuyama and his son. Also cool to see 450/800 year old objects being used as intended.
I suspect this may resonate with other people here.

@Steve
Great show man, just re watched with my wife(her 1st time) my second since airing. I agree feel like little slept on for HBO shows. -
It can be really hard to find something my wife and I agree on to watch, and then hard to find time to watch it when tender ears aren’t present.
We wound up watching the BBC Sherlock series, which I had already seen but long enough ago for it to seem new. What a great series that was. And my wife really enjoyed it too, which was nice.
We have discussed Breaking Bad, but she loses interest in shows that open with a slow burn so I am afraid to try it. I accused her of having the attention span of a goldfish. That didn’t go over well.
-
@mclaincausey, It's been years since I have seen Breaking Bad, so I can't recall how slow the burn is, but trust me - shit gets serious real quick and then doesn't stop!
It's some of the best produced TV I've seen. Bryan Cranston is a fucking beast.

I dig your speakers to TV size ratio @Chibs - as it should be!
