Philadephia is very easy to get in and out. probably 3-3.5 hours down. i would take that over Newark if prices were the same.

Damn. Just a 30min MARC train ride away.
But traveling in Europe in September.

BTW, staying in DC certainly an option. Great connection via commuter (MARC) train.
