I have a sneaking suspicion that these are shipping from Japan to the UK together with the 292 Restock... No need to confirm or deny that, IH Folks, but IF SO, it'd be killer to see some side-by-side shots of this with the 292 for those of us that will most likely be stuck between the two..:)

Can’t speak on the 292 ETA, but I was at selfedge few weeks back when their shipment arrived that day/day before. bunch of boxers out back. They obvs weren’t on the floor till release, and I didn’t see them. But by the Saturday next week think would be exactly a month, cuz i messed up the month and thought release was that weekend lol.
I was tryna stay strong and sit this release out, but feel like I gotta get the CPO, been imagining it in my head last few days lol. Fav brand and store, and love CPOs. Now just gotta decide indigo or OD?? my 292 is one my favs, and most recent jacket purchase is the 19oz lefty OD. Decisions, think leaning more towards the OD CPO. but I’ll be at SF self edge release day debating and trying both on asking my wife her opinions. Grateful she’s into my IH obsession and gets it. Really wish could make it to the party in LA but driving to SoCal back to back weekends is tough. Long ish, boring drive I’ve done a lot.

Self Edge have had their collabs for a few weeks.

My only gripe is with the way SE measure their pieces.

In the past, if I ever needed something from them, I just look at the measurements on the IH site, then order from SE.

Ah, crap! I am so conflicted after seeing that photo. Just the other day I was sure I did not want the overdyed version of this denim. Now my denim sense is tingling. Once the day comes, maybe I'll just roll dice.

@VegaS10 Yea, I did some cross referencing IH measurements vs Self Edge and across the chest they always seem to report somewhere around 1-2" smaller.

I think going in knowing that -- along w/ what size you normally wear will allow us to make a somewhat educated guess. I'd just go look at the reported SE measurements of some pieces you already own and use that as the guide.

Definitely wish the IH guys were able to get measurements off first because, IMO, they do it the correct way.

@Snafu Interesting. I'm only just now noticing these discrepancies for measurements as I wade deeper into this denim affliction.

I recently bought a pair of Samurai jeans from SE and their measurements were too big by several inches, in the waist, especially. Then I picked on fellow denimheads using Blue Owl's measurements as a reference that typically holds true. Fortunately, I was able to exchange for a pair that I think will fit; they show up today.

So then what's the discrepancy in measurement? Is it where the measurements are taken on the garments? How they are taken? I'm curious.

@Bobcat-Sig different methods, different people, different attention to detail. So many things involved. There is no 'right' way, but if you find someone that is consistent, and you can replicate their measurements, then you are sorted
