Thanks a lot Brian and goosehd! I will be there tomorrow and to be honest I am really excited!! Hope the have some different 777 jeans!

They won't I am afraid, they don't stock the 777.

All cuts that we now sell other than the 634/461/463 were designed by IHUK, not IHJP. IHJP stock some 666 and 555 in all stores, but no 777s and 888s. They have just started to take some 777/888 into Nagoya and Osaka, but I don't think they have any in Hachioji at the moment.

During our recent trip to Japan we've been to a couple of denim shops. It was interesting to see how the Japanese wear denim, really inspiring. Most of them wear straight leg or even wide jeans. Therefore I can understand that IH in Japan doesn't stock much of the slim or slim-tapered jeans. (Regarding denim jackets Type I and Type II seems to be much more popular then Type III).

God has blessed you richly, so get down on your knees and thank him. Don’t forget the less fortunate or God will personally kick your ass. I’d love to do it for him, but I can’t be everywhere. Willie Nelson

@Alex thanks a lot Alex, you were right. They did not have any 777 or 555 in the store. But the staff was very friendly and helpful and the beautiful store was worth the visit. They also had some special Japanese IH T-Shirts but most of the items in the store were in XS,S or seldom in M. I was lucky to get a wonderful deck vest in L and after wearing the jacket for two days I have to admit that I like this jacket a lot.

Anyone happen to know of any good vintage / second hand stores that carry Japanese clothing? When I went years ago I found most were littered with vintage Americana / Harley tees.

You ever find any good stores?

I haven't had the chance to explore it yet, but a couple of locals on my last trip recommended shimokitazawa iirc for second hand stores like this.

Shimokitazawa. You could spend a whole day there wandering the streets and checking out all the shops. We must of went in at least 40 different shops on our last visit as my wife loves that area.

@dasmaq was given this. Koenji is exceptional.

The easiest way to shop at vintage stores in Tokyo , is to go to Koenji Station . He will find in this area more than 100

The first Tokyo leg of my trip to Japan ends today with a Shinkansen to Osaka. We’ve had a great time staying at Hamacho Hotel, enjoyed a special tour of Tsukiji with Yukari Sakamoto, a very fun omekase dinner at Kashiwaya Ningyocho, and yesterday some shopping at Henderson Scheme, Engineered Garments, and The Real Mccoys. Been running around the Imperial Palace Loop and along the Sumida River. Looking forward to Iron Heart Osaka.

Heading to Japan next week and plan to hit either the Osaka or Hachioji store (or both) while I'm there at some point! I know the selection is more limited than what's offered online through IHUK, but is sizing availability more limited, as well? I'm usually an XL-XXL and 36'' waist in IH and wondering if it'll be hard to find my size there.

@selbstzweck Japan stocks XS-XXL and 28-40, not including 35. Their stock holding is also significantly smaller than IHUK, and what they have will vary shop to shop too.

@Alex Awesome, thanks! Mostly I think I’ll just be looking for some standard IH stuff, so should be good.
