I like that the 1955 is described as being extremely flattering on a variety of body types. Hopefully that includes short legged people because I’m one of them. The most flattering pics I’ve seen have been of taller people with this. I don’t care though, my stumpy little ass will be trotting these out at work as soon as I get them. I’m excited.

@drewfonse Yeah it's interesting, as a smaller/average person myself I also tend to find pictures of normal people help me better in my decisions. For example, what sold me on these is actually the pictures @JoshC shared higher up in this thread and the direct comparison with a pair of 888 and both of these pairs being worn and cut to the right length etc

I understand these are once washed, however, would you (hot) soak them before the first wear or just get going right out the envelope

@Alexander 21oz and you can wear them out of the bag. I always do.

@Alexander Do you want crisp fades or vintage? If you want crisp, best to just wear right away. I like vintage fades so I always wash and dry my raw denim to get any starch out and the top layer of indigo, and then keep washing and drying regularly.

Hey folks!! Brand new here. Happy to be here : ) I just ordered some 1955s. They arrive tomorrow, can't wait!! Wanted to ask though, my buddy wants some too but his size 34 is sold out on IH and TSV. Are there any other stockists who sell IH 1955S 21oz? Thanks!

I could always order from The Shop but I don't feel great buying jeans that have been shipped from Japan to the UK to Canada and then back to the UK to me.

@Graham the 14oz sounds cool! Is there a page or thread where I can get detailed descriptions of each IH denim fabric? I found the thread for it on here with the link to the Duck and Denim Fabrics webpage, but it just shows basic specs, as opposed to how the fabrics wear and feel and break in. I looked at the Hall of Fades too, which is super amazing and helpful, but I was more looking for descriptions of how the fabrics act and perform etc. Thanks!

@catdad1 these look great dude! Can't wait for mine too arrive. Since I'm completely new to Iron Heart, I'm curious how the top block compares to 888. I was under the impression that 888 has more room in the top block cuz of its slightly higher rise. But is 888 slimmer even though the rise measurement is higher? Like, maybe 888 has less volume, small hip width or something?....Anyways, they look really nice! I was planning on trying 1955 and then 888 after that haha

@thevintagefuture my 888s spoiled me with room in the top block and a higher rise compared to previous jeans I've had over the years as a bigger thigh guy. I didn't expect these to have even more room than the 888s. It's not a significant amount more but it's something. Also after wearing 888s all day today and sliding on the 1955s I noticed a slightly higher rise in these. The rise and extra room below the knee are welcomed these days.

Also I'm comparing my 888 21od to the 1955 indigos so naturally the ODs will have smaller dimensions all around to their indigo counterparts.
