Maybe a random jacket someone added an IH patch to?

The patch does look a little crooked.

Random question for @Giles or anyone who has been around for some time. It is my understanding that the 666-XHS was born around September 2011 from a pair of 25th anniversary special edition for the store VMC which were then added to the continuous production line XHS. So here lies my question. If I got my hands on a pair of the VMC variety release version from 2011, would the quality be the same as a pair from production today. Meaning did they improve on this formula as years went by or would the 2011 VMC recipe be the same as today’s version. Did they make improvements in regards to any aspects of production or on the other hand was the old version of higher quality? Just wondering as I can me across a pair of this nostalgic pair of first XHS variety? Regardless this is very cool to know how the XHS came to fruition?

I am not aware of any changes to the denim or construction. My first pair of IH was the 666 from the first production run after the VMC version.

Is that the same 17oz pair I got from Pal?

Edit: scratch that- these ones are TW666

No changes at all. I have a pair off the VMC version of the 666 here and still wear them. The first run of the 25oz was split between the VMC and the standard XHS versions, the only difference being the patches.

I was in Shibuya staying at the Granbell hotel with loads of the then Iron Heart retailers, the Granbell was our unofficial Tokyo HQ in those days.. VMC's 25th anniversary was coming up and Roger wanted to make something special to celebrate the occasion. Roger and I had a beer outside on the small terrace whilst we discussed what to do. I came up with idea of 25oz for 25 years, Roger took the bait and the next day we asked Haraki if it was doable. He said yes.

Does the free hemming service from IHUK apply to jeans purchased in the past? If so, do I only need to cover the shipping costs to and from Gosport, or would I also need to pay for the hemming service itself?

@jerkules Hey mate so the official standpoint from us is that hemming is free at the time of purchase. There can be some instances where we can bend this rule - first time customers trying jeans on and returning them to us to get their sizing right etc. If you are returning jeans which have been worn for some time to be hemmed, this would not be free. Looking at the product page, we could make this clearer so will work on that now
