These are your favorite movies? The He Man movie? My dad took us to see it when it came out. That was the last time I saw it. I can’t imagine it’s aged well.

There are plenty of bad movies I like but calling them my favorite would be a stretch. Please elaborate.

I remember seeing the 2nd-3rd Star Wars, Indiana Jones, War Games, Back to the Future, and Teen Wolf in the cinema. Those will always be special.

I also remember seeing Forrest Gump and Pulp Fiction in the cinema a little later in life… same result.

I can barely be bothered to go to a movie these days and think I and we as a culture have lost something with the regression of movie theaters. We now have more content available at home than we ever could have imagined and I spend most of my viewing time trying to find something I want to watch. Interesting how things have evolved. It would sound great on paper but I feel like it’s a step back.

            Perhaps it’s misguided nostalgia.

            Think it, be it.

@mclaincausey I recently discovered a fairly new arts cinema in Cologne. Decided together with the wife we need to go there regularly. It's definitely an experience I missed.

Another vote for Hudson Hawk, and any old JCVD flick!

I'd have to put The Blues Brothers up as my favorite movie.

Nosferatu was an exquisite work of art. Incredible cinematic shots of symmetry and compositions to that of Renaissance paintings. Brilliantly brutal from start to finish. Eggers has set the bar for high art. Best movie I have seen in years.

I was on a flight this week and decided to watch Conclave.
The whole thing was pretty predictable but it had some good acting in addition to what I thought was some amazing cinematography. A few scenes had a strikingly crisp aesthetic similar to Jodorowsky in places. I've definitely regretted watching other movies more on a flight. #lowbar

I saved this post to remind myself I need to catch up on some “real” movies. Only one on this list I’ve seen is “Nomadland”. Really want to see Anora. I loved Baker’s movie “The Florida Project”

@Matt had no interest in going to see conclave but since I was a captive audience with it playing for free and not much else worthwhile I gave it a go.

I thought Oppenheimer was an over hyped pile of trash. Felt like watching a 3hr long set of movie trailers if I remember correctly. Personally i wouldn't recommend anyone bother with it.

I'm kinda interested to see the substance after hearing about it on the radio a while ago.

I also want to see Anora, just seems to be my kind of film. Oppenheimer needs some effort to watch, and due to it's length and the political bickering was in parts a bit boring for me. But the filmography and acting is a real pleasure. Who hasn't seen Parasite yet, should do this. It's just wonderful. Exciting, funny, weird, beautiful - all to the right amount IMO. Tonight, it'll be Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance for me, since I haven't seen that one yet- The last (for me, actually the first) of Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy.
