Obvious differences in fading aside, how does this jacket/denim compare to the SBG? Is it stiffer and heavier feeling?

Equally heavy but the 9526 is noticeably stiffer and the sbg noticeably softer.

I can confirm what @Graham said. I have the SBG as 555 and this vest since 2016. I‘ve washed the vest at least 20 times and wore the hell out of it and it is still super stiff. The SBG however was sweatpantslike soft after one wash and a few days of wear.

Have these ever been offered in some sort of lined version? Either in the SBG or the super black… if so, is there a chance they ever would be again?

Not that I can think of. This denim may be discontinued. We are having big issues with the production, and I am in talks with Japan about it currently

it would. be a major bummer, yes, but - we are talking specifically (at the moment) about the superblack non selvedge, so it does not mean that the con fade black things will never be made again
