What is the purpose of a morale patch?
A morale patch is a military ornamental insignia with humorous images and expressions. They can be used as identification with a particular unit, such as a division or brigade, and are designed to build an esprit de corps with military personnel.

@chrisjohnnick brings to mind the flag of Thailand, which is apt considering their affinity for selvedge denim.

Yea, these days In civilian circles, "morale patch" typically just refers to patches with velcro backing. I’ve found it challenging to find designs that aren’t overly political, heavily geared toward gun enthusiasts/militia types, or filled with immature slogans or phrases. So decided to make my own subtle "iykyk" one.

@Giles I may have enough to make one more if ya need one! If not XHS, I know I've got some 21oz and 17oz floating around.

          Wants List:
          IHSH-20-Red, XL
          IHSH-208-Indigo Kersey, L-XL
          IHSH-254-Grey Kersey, L-XL
          IHSW-45 Black, M
          IH-526SV 21oz type III, 38 or 40
          IH-777S-SB size 32

@T4920 Hadn't noticed that! I kept thinking of the Chicago flag (minus the stars) while making it.

              That’s amazing work.

Agreed most patches are too tryhard wannabe GI Joe or something egregious like a totenkopf. This makes a statement, bucks the tacti-cool poseurhood, and looks great. Bravo!

              Think it, be it.

That is very kind. But we can make them here.

Mind if we steal your design for RELOVE patches?

Morale is much less cumbersome 🙂

Need some advice from the bag gurus on here, please..

I need a daily bag that I can take to the office with me. Needs to fit a laptop, a water bottle, packed lunch in a tupperware and have space for various other things too (little bit of last minute shopping, or gym clothes, for eg). I don't want a back pack. I usually just use a canvas tote, but getting annoyed with my lunch dripping onto my laptop, for example, so I guess it needs to have at least one compartment, and perhaps a flat bottom

Bagjack is terrific. The one I thought of was this one:

                              https://www.bagjackshop.com/en/nxl-lines/nxl-black-line/nxl-messenger-m-black_448_1046

They often have tarpaulin inserts for the main compartment so you could have lunch spill and just wash it out, and a separate laptop sleeve so it would be unimpacted.

I have a few of their products by way of Acronym collabs. The Acronym 3A-1 is pretty great but the current materials are a little too much for me visually speaking. But it’s like the ultimate ergonomic bag.

                              Think it, be it.

@Alex the Ancoats Bag Company has a good reputation, though I haven't seen any of their totes.

Defy Bags sell a couple of larger briefcase style bags, the Defender and the Epic, along with the Rover, which is more of a travel bag.

Mission Workshop has a range of totes and duffles, such as the Transit or Drift.

Trakke has the Bairn Pro, which is a shoulder bag, and the Portobello, which is a briefcase.

Bedouin do a range of bags, but most appear to be out of stock at the moment. The Bosun's Tote might suit.

Beyond that, keep an eye on Carryology or their Facebook group. Someone might post something interesting.

I also need some advice, guys. Regularly traveling over the weekend. Need something close to full cabin size with lots of compartments. Want to carry it in my hand, not on the back or over the shoulder. Rather soft-bag type. No classical weekender. Don't want to spent hundreds of euros. Any ideas?
