We got our first snow storm of the year in Denver! There was about 6-8” over night and it snowed all day. Total of 8-10” with more coming later this week!! Carl and I are very happy. After work walk to the park!!

It’s sort of a chronic problem actually. He had a surgery a few years back for bloat. Ever since then he has one sticking out about 80-90% of the time. Vet says some scar tissue may be the cause.

Yeah…I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little jealous.

Well…looks like Denver’s first snow, turned first legit snow storm is on its way to turning in to a straight up blizzard. Wednesday was 6-8” of snow. Today is on track for another few inches. Tomorrow is supposed to be an additional 10-12”. We could be looking at about 2 feet in total. Fingers crossed for a snow day from school tomorrow!!

@Mizmazzle how much snow/disruption does there need to be before you get the call?

Here in the UK, everyone loses their shit and civil society disbands after half an inch and a little ice on the road..

@T4920 Normally school would have been called after the first snowfall of Wednesday. Generally 6-7" or more is enough to call it off. It really depends on what time the storm hits often times as well. The sweet spot is when the snow dumps between midnight and 6 am and the roads haven't been properly cleared. The best is when they call the snow day the night before due to a solid prediction of heavy snow coming. Then you can really enjoy the night before as well. Generally they call it at around 5:30 am though and we get that sweet sweet ring of the phone announcing the cancelation.

Our district superintendent admitted he might have dropped the ball on not calling it earlier this time and I think a lot of parents have been complaining it wasn't called already.

My buddy works for another district and they called a snow day today. Lucky bastard is probably passed out on the couch right now or out building a snow man!
