Initially it seemed IH had more allocated for sale now it's just brunds leftovers.
When we do a collaboration, we let the other party lead the charge. It's a little pointless if we restrict their ability to sell. In this case Brund underestimated how many they would sell, we could have either said "tough, you should have ordered more" or let them have some of the ones we were going to sell. So yeah, we have fewer than we thought we would get.....

In the big scheme of things, there was a very brief time post BREXIT when our European brothers and sisters could not buy from IHUK directly and they missed out on some great items. IHUK did everything in their power to make things work for them, but often could not meet that demand because of issues caused by BREXIT.
In some ways missing out on one shirt doesn’t bother me and is just one way that IHUK has been able to turn lemons into lemonade. If they hadn’t relentlessly tried to find solutions to those problems, IHUK wouldn’t be where it is today. It’s great to see growth of the IH brand in Europe and exclusives in the market that was briefly closed to them.
It’s one shirt and there will be others…

I didn’t mention Brexit, but I certainly thought about it. However, while I think it is a bother (I’m going to London tomorrow, and suddenly have to consider all the practicalities I don’t have to deal with when staying in the EU), and find the process leading up to the election quite sad, I’ll leave the evaluation to the Brits…

It’s an absolutely beautiful shirt! That being said, if it’s sold out online, I’m sure we’ll all be able to find another amazing indigo IH shirt in its stead! I believe in each and every one of you and your ability to buy another blue shirt

Our stock will be going online at 1600BST Thursday. We have stock of all sizes, but due to the average size of Danes, numbers are more limited than usual in XL-4XL... Don't sleep.

I contacted Brund about finding a way to grab the hat, that's now on their website to the USA and was politely told no. Is this a shipping/tax/currency issue or "we don't want to"

@CosmoSix5 Might try asking them to see if there was a misunderstanding. Edit: Looking at their shipping information on their website, it says that they only ship to EU. Not seeing where it is on the website to USA...

@CosmoSix5 If you find a way around this let me know. I want one too. Maybe they would ship a few of them to make it worth their while and you could easily get your money back from the fellas on here looking in the USA.

@jordanscollected That's just it, no reason was given. If the amount was an issue I'd definitely buy a few and re sell them easily. The kroner to dollars was about $40. In a world where we pay $100 at the drop of a hat wouldn't be difficult

I’m not affiliated with Brund in any way, but my somewhat educated guess would be that even at a 150% markup they would have to sell quite a few hats in order to make it worthwhile.
They probably have a setup where their accounting system only handles EU payments. And they probably have some sort of package deal with their accountant (I’m not sure of the English term here - they have an auditor doing their yearly reporting) as well. Changing that would be costly - if the auditor charges them an extra hour, based on them doing outside EU sales, that alone would be 150-200 dollars.
But I’m just guessing
