                Any of you Brits have a good mince pie recipe you’d share with me? My ex (who was from Worcestershire) made some incredible ones but alas I didn’t get her recipe and I somehow think she wouldn’t be so psyched to hear from me 😅. Doubt I could get around to making any for Xmas at this point, but I’d love to have em in my arsenal for the future. Thanks in advance!

                    Poaching a chicken, mainly because I want the carcass to make stock (but I'll find a load to do with the meat), of which I will need a shed-load over the next week or so. And the start of curried parsnip soup...

                                    And the stock is made, shit loads in the large pan, smaller amount with the turkey neck, gizzards, and trimmings in the small pan, ready for making gravy on Christmas day...

                                        Not sure how to spell this one -mother in law just smiles, nods and repeats the name of the soup when I asked for the spelling but it’s pronounced like colbit. Homemade chicken stock (unreal flavor in this stock), a kind of tapioca noodle, chicken, scallions, cilantro, lime, fish and oyster sauce. The perfect cold weather soup.

                                            @popvulture it really is man. Wish I could figure out the spelling to reference properly. Her family is from Laos, so a lot of Vietnamese influence
